Hotlanta's dirge miners present heavy riff force, sure, but also hooks: drive-by melodies that stun and fade as the band, like Jaws, harkens toward blood and chomps folks. Snotty, smart vocals, occult trappings. Thankfully this is a punk (not "post-punk") affair, but I hear Gordons and Flesh Eaters as well as (Australian) X, The Eat or Filth. Also, Melt On You > Cul De Sac is double-tough, Biff.
